Introducing...the Steiners!

Derek and Stacy Steiner- it has a nice ring to it!! Derek and I were married in the Rexburg Idaho Temple on December 28, 2010. The day could not have been more perfect and it is a day we will never forget. The sealing was amazing, the luncheon was delicious, and the reception was filled with our favorite people. We appreciate everyone who helped with the wedding and who came to support and celebrate with us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!!

December 28 was truly the perfect day but every day from then has been great! We moved to Riverton, Utah and live in a cute little basement apartment. Derek was so good at putting things away and decorating our apartment. It now feels like home! We have loved starting our lives together and wanted to share some of our stories.

My story: As a little girl all I ever wanted to be was a wife and a mom. I always knew that I would need to get an education and I wanted to. My dream was to go to college, be a missionary, get home, get married quickly, graduate, teach for a year, and start my family. But God had a different plan for me. Those things did all happen (the family part will have to wait a little) but not on my time table. I watched all my friends get married, start having kids and I simply had to watch and wait. It wasn't easy for me to see other people living my dream. But I am eternally grateful for God's plan and for his timing. I was able to serve the Lord as a missionary and that experience changed my life. I cannot imagine my life without those amazing people in Texas that I was able to meet and teach. They left little marks in my heart that will always remain with me. I know I was sent there so they could teach me! I am grateful for all that I learned as a missionary. I have been able to go to school and become a teacher. I love having my own little classroom with my cute little students. Children are so special and I learn from them everyday. But the best thing that has come to me through patient endurance is my sweetheart Derek. He is the love of my life and my best friend. He is an amazing person and a wonderful husband. I am so grateful for his example and influence. I am so grateful that my Father in Heaven had a better plan for me than I did. I cannot imagine my life without Derek in it. I love and appreciate him so much.

His Story: Derek was the cutest little boy and is now the most handsome man ever! He grew up in Rexburg and is the second of 5 boys. He served a mission in Geneva Switzerland. He graduated from BYU-Idaho in December 2010 and is now work for Rio Tinto in Utah. He is an amazing, cook, mechanic, kisser, and husband. He is great at hanging pictures on our wall, grocery shopping, and folding laundry. I always tell him he makes a great housewife :) He is an amazing man and hopefully someday he will tell his own story.

I had my stories and Derek had his but from December 28 to forever they will always be the Steiner stories!
