Ashton is on the move ALL THE TIME!! This kid never ever stops. He is not walking yet but gets closer everyday. I am not encouraging it because I can't keep up with him as it is! He is walking along furniture and pulls himself up but is just too scared to stand by himself yet. He will get there and when he does I am going to need more energy!
He is obsessed with the stairs. We have a unique staircase so a gate is not really possible so we have taught him how to climb up and down them and he does great with it!! He is really good at going up and he thinks its funny to sneak to the stairs and start climbing them. When he gets a few steps up he laughs and makes noise till we come running and he smiles and giggles! He thinkgs he's pretty funny- so do we! He can climb them all by himself but I am really nervous so I stay behind him. He is pretty shaky about coming down but he knows to turn around and come down backwards- so smart! We do keep a big blanket on the stairs so he can't climb up anytime he wants. He gets really mad when he sees the blanket in his way!
Another fun game we play is called change the diaper! Ok not a fun game for me! He thinks its so fun to try and get away while I change his diaper. If he can get away naked he is so excited but even if he can escape before I get his pants back on is great! He loves to be chased after a diaper change. He is so fun!
He has a 6th sense- he knows when a bathroom door gets left open! He just knows it and runs as fast as he can. He'll have the toilet paper unrolled in 2 seconds! Its pretty impressive!
At 11 months Ashton:
- said his first word- mama!!
- has 5 teeth
- is crawling crazy fast!
- loves to unroll the toilet paper
- loves to play in the dishwasher
- his favorite toys are daddy's remote control, computer mouse, and a spoon ;)
- hates taking naps
- is a mamas boy- he loves his mommy!
